Three decades of developing basketball leaders

Leicester Dynamite has more than 30 years of community basketball coaching experience and excellence.

Our Vision

Leicester Dynamite exists to develop basketball and leadership skills in competitive and non-competitive settings.

Since 1997, we've grown from a single school session to a thriving club with multiple league teams, a clear youth pathway, and a strong community infrastructure.

We're committed to making basketball accessible to everyone, regardless of background, and creating an environment of progression, dedication, and hard work.

Our mission

Leicester Dynamite Basketball Club is run by Together Everyone Achieves More Ltd. Our structure is based on the model developed by Basketball England.

Our Young Heroes pathway was formed with the aim of helping to raise the standards and aspirations of young people through sport and social development.

To achieve this, we create opportunities for young people from different cultural backgrounds and communities to meet, build knowledge and understanding, and develop their leadership and teamwork skills.

Our Purpose

Developing confidence

Creating an environment where young people are encouraged to try, make mistakes, and try again.

Building character

Using team sport and shared standards to instil resilience, respect, and responsibility in young players.

Improving skills

Providing structured coaching in basketball fundamentals, from footwork and ball-handling to teamwork and communication.

All are DBS checked and committed to safeguarding and building the resilience and character of our young players alongside their basketball skills.

Our mentorship approach means Dynamite players progress through the club with consistent, experienced guidance - creating a pathway of athletes and future coaches.
