Inclusive community basketball coaching for young players looking to get started in the game.
Leicester Dynamite is dedicated to providing opportunities for all young people, regardless of their ability, background, gender, or age.
Our community pathway offers players aged from 5 to 18 a place to try out the game, benefit from coaching, and develop their skills.
Community sessions also serve as a route into trying out for our competitive league squads.

Community training sessions are the heart of Leicester Dynamite, offering young people their first experience of basketball in a welcoming environment.
Our open-access basketball sessions for ages 5-15 take place on Saturday mornings at WQE College and no registration is needed - just turn up at 10am.
Once players then join the club, they are invited to a second community training session, held on weeknights at Moat Community College, giving them extra court time and development opportunities.
Our coaches use these community sessions to guide players into our competitive junior teams. It means that - whether you're a complete beginner or looking to join a team - community sessions are your route into Leicester Dynamite Basketball Club.
Once a month between November and March, we host friendly mini-league games designed to give our young community players a taste of the match experience.
Our Sunday mini-league brings together teams including Oakham Thunder and Nottingham Athletics, featuring age-group games from Under-10s through to Under-17s.
Each game day runs sequentially, with shorter formats that are perfect for younger and new players.
It means all young players can try playing against other clubs - without needing to go through trials for our National League and Youth League squads.

Our holiday basketball camps during school breaks, combine coaching, community, and skills.
Our partnership with Leicester City Council's Holiday Activities & Food Programme also means that young people who qualify for free school meals can also participate free of charge.
All are welcome to attend - whether regular players or new to basketball. Our holiday camps are a good way to stay active, build social networks, and keep improving during school breaks.
