Leicester Dynamite U16s have not only been crowned league champions but they have also secured promotion to the North Premier.
Leicester Dynamite U16s have been crowned league champions and secured promotion to the North Premier division following a standout season.
The promotion marks a major milestone for the squad and the culmination of a season defined by hard work, consistency, teamwork and determination.
Week after week, the squad demonstrated not only their technical ability but also a growing maturity in how they approached games - qualities that ultimately set them apart from the competition.
Their play-off run underlined that progress. In a tightly contested first round, Dynamite held their nerve to edge past Sheffield Arrows 84-82 at home. In a game that went down to the wire, the team showed real composure in the closing stages to grind out a crucial two-point victory.
They carried that momentum into the next round, delivering a dominant performance against Preston and Myerscough. An 83-53 home win secured promotion in emphatic fashion, highlighting both their attacking strength and defensive discipline.
Head Coach Dave Harris praised the group’s efforts across the season.
“This group has been outstanding from start to finish. Their attitude, work rate and willingness to support each other have made the difference,” he said.
“They’ve earned this success through consistent performances and a real commitment to improving every week. It’s been a pleasure to coach them. Winning the league is a fantastic achievement, and we’re excited to see how they rise to the challenge of the North Premier division.”
The success reflects Leicester Dynamite’s wider commitment to developing young talent, with a clear focus on creating an environment where players can thrive both competitively and personally.
The U16s now look ahead to the challenge of competing at the next level - ready to test themselves against some of the strongest teams in the region.
