Leicester Dynamite U14 and U16 teams have won their leagues for the 2025/26 season
Leicester Dynamite are celebrating a remarkable double triumph this season, with both the U14 and U16 squads crowned league champions for the 2025/26 campaign.
The U14s sealed their title in style, beating closest rivals Northampton Neptunes 84-56 in their final game of the season to win the National League Midlands Conference II.
Under the guidance of coaches Shaun and Luke, the team produced an outstanding record of 21 wins from 22 games, with just one fixture unfortunately having to be forfeited.
That run left them clear of second-placed Northampton Neptunes, who finished with 19 wins and three losses.
Coach Shaun said: “This group has worked incredibly hard from the first practice to the last game. They’ve bought into playing for each other, they’ve listened, they’ve competed, and they’ve shown real character in tough moments.
“As coaches we’re proud of the results, but even more proud of the way they’ve grown as teammates and as young people.”
The U16s delivered a season that set the standard for what it means to wear a Leicester Dynamite jersey. They showed leadership on and off the court, pushed each other in practice, and embraced big-game moments when it mattered most.
They were crowned league champions after a thrilling 106-100 win over their nearest challengers Nottingham Cobras Boys I in the final game of the season. The U16s went unbeaten in the Midlands Conference III, winning all 14 of their games and finishing four points clear of Nottingham Cobras Boys I.
U16s coach Dave Harris said: “Right from the first session, this group set the bar high and never let their standards slip. They’ve shown maturity, discipline and a real togetherness in every situation. As coach, I’m proud of the unbeaten record, but even more proud of how they’ve carried themselves as Leicester Dynamite players on and off the court.”
