Our annual impact report reflects on club results, progress, and standout moments from a winning season
Leicester Dynamite signed off 2025/26 as Leicestershire’s top-performing junior basketball programme.
It has been a season defined by unbeaten runs, new milestones and a growing community within the club.
On the competitive side, several teams enjoyed standout seasons. The U14 Boys completed a perfect league campaign, winning all 22 games before adding two play-off victories to be crowned Midlands Conference champions and secure promotion to the North Premier division.
They were joined at the top by the U16 Boys, who also went unbeaten to win their league and earn promotion after a dramatic overtime victory in their title-decider. The U17 Reds were also crowned champions - and the club’s first ever U17 Girls team made history too, finishing their YBL campaign unbeaten and lifting the Women’s Play-Off Cup in their debut season.
What sits behind these results is a clear emphasis on development and togetherness.
From the U12 Mixed squad learning the game and finishing third in their regional league, to the U15 and U17 Black teams growing in confidence and resilience, coaches consistently highlight work ethic, team spirit and player progression as the real markers of success.
That philosophy is reflected in national recognition, with U16 player Asher earning a call-up to the England Basketball Talent Programme.
Off the court, Leicester Dynamite continues to broaden access to basketball. Across the season the club delivered more than 70 community sessions and five holiday camps - including 125 HAF places to ensure young people from all backgrounds could get involved.
Head Coach Dave Harris said: “The club’s focus for 2026/27 remains on creating opportunities for player development while strengthening every area of the programme and growing our reach.”
Thank you to all Leicester Dynamite sponsors.
